Minnesota Bathroom Named America’s Best For 2025

There is nothing worse than going on a road trip and having to stop at a gross bathroom. Options are limited when you're driving long stretches of road and going to a dirty restroom is not ideal.

We are always on the road as Minnesotans, especially in the summer, traveling to and from our cabins or weekend getaways.

I am constantly making the drive from Duluth to the Twin Cities and have my restrooms I will stop at often and the ones I absolutely will avoid.

Now, I know which bathroom to stop at if I am headed the other way because a small town has a new title: home of the best bathroom in America.

Cintas Corporation Asks Public To Vote For The Best Bathroom

Now this is the kind of content that I am here for! In early August, Cintas Corporation asked the public to weigh in on their favorite bathrooms in the country. They do this contest every year and have for decades - and are already asking for submissions for 2026.

They reviewed all of their submissions for 2025 and narrowed it down to nine finalists. From there, loyal followers of this incredible contest were asked to vote for the best.

Finalists were asked to consider five key factors when voting or nominating a bathroom: cleanliness, visual appeal, innovation, functionality and unique design elements. I am all about this contest and now will be thinking of these things next time I pit stop anywhere.

Bathroom In Ely, Minnesota Named America's Best Bathroom

It was quite the competition but the restroom and shower building in Bear Head Lake State Park in Ely took the win! It's not too surprising: they have an incredible design and a place to wash dishes, too!

I mean, take a look and see for yourself. That bathroom is glistening - and even beautiful on the outside. No wonder it was named the best bathroom in America. What a win for Minnesota - this doesn't stink. (Get it?)

Of course, the surroundings of this bathroom also help. It is located in one of the most beautiful areas in the world! Cintas says:

Surrounded by the serene beauty that earned Bear Head Lake the title of America’s Favorite State Park in 2010, this restroom is proof that practicality and natural beauty can go hand in hand.

Yup, this is one win that is absolutely deserved. Wooo!
