Worried About Traffic? Superior’s Mayor Weighs In On Two New Coffee Chains
My favorite thing in the world...coffee! Superior is about to be home to two new coffee chains that we are lucky enough to have in Duluth. Now, the Mayor of Superior has something to say about it.
Duluth is home to several different Starbucks stores. There is one located in Target, another location downtown and a few others spread throughout the city.
We also recently got a 7 Brew Coffee! It is located along Central Entrance right across from Cub Foods. It opened in mid-August and has been busy ever since! In fact, it's been so busy that there have been some traffic issues.
Superior is about to get both of these brewing businesses and some are worried about the traffic issues they might cause in the area. This is always a worry when new businesses open up because they are so packed!
Superior Mayor Jim Paine Shares Statement On Two New Businesses
On Wednesday (October 14th), Jim Paine shared a statement on the two new businesses coming soon to Superior. He assured everyone that traffic will not be an issue at the new Starbucks store, as it is tucked away.

The new 7 Brew will likely be a bit busier, according to his statement, but that doesn't mean it will cause issues. The mayor assures locals that they designed the new drive-thru so that those not stopping for an afternoon pick-me-up can drive right on by, where as Duluth's location doesn't allow for that to happen based on how it is all laid out.
He also noted that the Superior 7 Brew location has twice the capacity as the one in Duluth. As someone who goes all the time, 7 Brew is definitely worth the wait and the line does go fast!

The Mayor also reminds everyone that these two new businesses mean a growing economy and there are also other local coffee shops that locals can go to if they want to avoid the heavy traffic these two new additions will bring.
Any time a new business opens in Duluth, it is always PACKED and these two new coffee chains will be no different. You just have to have a little patience.
7 Brew will be located on the corner of 21st Street and Tower Avenue and there is no opening date just yet. Starbucks will be located along Tower Avenue and North 37th Street with no opening date either.
Stay tuned! You're about to be really caffeinated.
