Hollywood Star Gets Grammy Nomination For Role As Bob Dylan

One Hollywood actor is one step closer to an EGOT thanks to a special Grammy nomination. The nominations were revealed on Friday (November 7th).

You probably know all about Timothée Chalamet. He is one of the biggest stars in Hollywood right now and has been called the next Leonardo DiCaprio thanks to his early and continued success.

He's already been nominated for two Oscars. His last nomination was earlier this year, which was extra special because it was for a role with a Minnesota connection: he played Bob Dylan in the hit A Complete Unknown, which ended up being an award-winning role for him.

However, he lost the Oscar for the role and was thought to be in second place. Now, a huge new nomination means he still has time for redemption and some representation for northern Minnesota, where Bob Dylan was born.

At the SAG Awards earlier this year, which are a precursor to the Oscars, the star won the top prize: Male Actor In A Leading Role for his role as Bob Dylan. This made him the youngest male to ever win that award, which was huge.

It's also a special role because he spent much time in northern Minnesota researching for it, even spending time with theater kids in Hibbing and sipping beer at a popular bar in downtown Duluth. Now, even though award season is over, he has another shot to win an award for the role!

He scored just about every awards nomination under the sun for his role and now in a surprise twist, he also scored a Grammy nod for Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media for the film.

Because the star sang on most of the songs on the soundtrack, he is eligible to win the award himself. He has some big competition but I would love to see him win another award for his role.

I love Timmy so I want him to win the award and be on his way to EGOT status. He'd just need his eventual Oscar, Emmy and Tony to complete it. No pressure! The Oscar is a no-brainer eventually.
