The first annual Duluth Oktoberfestival is coming this weekend to Bayfront Festival Park, and you're invited to walk through Canal Park and help kick off all of the festivities!

Led by inaugural Festmaster Don Ness, the Duluth Oktoberfestival Procession is like a mini-parade that everyone is invited to be in!  Just meet everyone at the Canal Park Lodge, located at 250 Canal Park Drive, by 3:15 p.m. on Friday, September 13.

Plan on being dressed in your best German attire, with a beer in hand, as music plays and the procession loops around Canal Park on the way to Bayfront Festival Park.  A March of the Dachshund Pups will be included, so bring the whole family.

Once everyone arrives at Bayfront, Festmaster Don Ness will tap the Golden Keg, marking the official opening of the 2019 Duluth Oktoberfestival.

Duluth Oktoberfestival runs Friday, September 13 through Sunday, September 15 and it'll be a weekend full of music, games, beer, food and fun for the entire family.  Here are the festival hours:

  • Friday 4:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. (alcohol sales end at 10:30 pm)
  • Saturday 11:00 a.m. - 11:00 p.m. (alcohol sales end at 10:30 pm)
  • Sunday 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
