Minnesota isn't the first place you'd think of taking a little weekend vacation, even if we think it is pretty great! Kelsea Ballerini must think it's great as well because she spent all weekend in the Land of 10,000 Lakes.

She has been to Minnesota a bunch over the years, mainly on tour. A few years ago, she opened for Kelly Clarkson on tour and after the Minnesota stop, she shared a photo of herself eating chicken tenders here.

She was even in Duluth in 2019 to headline a show at AMSOIL Arena. Prior to that show, I had the chance to talk to her about her music and her love for chicken tenders. If you are a Kelsea fan, you know she takes her chicken nuggets very seriously. Ha!

After the show, she shared a long and emotional message about how she was having a bad day and felt insecure and the Duluth crowd made her feel better. It's safe to say she has a special place in her heart for Minnesota.

She returned over the weekend, which she documented with a series of photos and videos on social media. She shared the first series on Friday, posing with her friends and watching pop star FLETCHER play a show at a venue in Minneapolis.

The following day, she let country music fans in on a little surprise: she was in the crowd at Keith Urban's big show at the Xcel Energy Center! He brought his Speed Of Now Tour to St. Paul with openers Ingrid Andress and Tyler Hubbard.

If fans saw her videos from the crowd of the show, they likely weren't surprised when she popped on stage with Keith at one point! He introduced her mid-set by saying he heard she was in town and invited her to sing with him.

It must have been very impromptu because she had to do an impromptu microphone check before belting it out. The two sang We Were Us, a duet with Keith and Miranda Lambert. It was a full circle moment as Kelsea used to do the very same thing when she toured with Keith in 2018.

What a fun night for country music fans! It looks like it was a successful trip to Minnesota so hopefully Kelsea will come back soon.
