Convenience stores like Kwik Trip find themselves in a unique position during the COVID-19 outbreak as locations that offer not only fuel, but ready-to-eat food, groceries, and other necessities. During the outbreak, Kwik Trip has shared that they continue to remain open to serve the community in all of these capacities, while still following the guidance of health officials to protect both their employees and customers.

Kwik Trip's self-serve food and beverages are being restricted to curb the spread of COVID-19, including their self-serve coffee/cappuccino bar, self-serve fountain sodas, condiment bar, certain items in their bakery case, soup bar, nacho & chili bar, and roller grill.

Some stores, who have enough staff to do so, are allowing for staff to distribute items like coffee or fountain soda, limiting the number of people who would come into contact with the dispenser machinery. Here is the full message from Kwik Trip about these limitations:

The convenience chain also highlighted each store's already high standard for cleanliness and additional efforts being made to protect customers and staff. Among measures they remind the public of are multiple hand sanitizer stations, including hand-pump sanitizer near gas pumps. Here is their full message:
