Learn The Science Behind Your Favorite Pixar Movie
The Science Museum of Minnesota is hosting a new exhibit called 'The Science Behind Pixar' and I have no doubt it will entertain and educate the entire family.
The traveling exhibit opens in St. Paul on Friday, June 9th and it will feature some of the most popular Pixar characters including Buzz Lightyear from 'Toy Story', Dory from 'Finding Nemo' / 'Finding Dory' and Mike & Sulley from the 'Monsters Inc.' movies.
Visitors will learn about the filmmaking process with hands-on elements, meet the characters and get a chance to take photos with them and hear from the artists and production team at Pixar about their technology and techniques.
“The Science Behind Pixar will bring the perfect blend of popular culture, art, and science to the Science Museum this summer,” says SMM president Alison Rempel Brown. “So much goes into creating what looks like the magic of Pixar films — and much of it stems from creative problem solving and computational thinking. Visitors are going to love what this exhibit has to offer them regarding science learning, nostalgia, and hands-on fun.”
Save your pennies, because the exhibit isn't cheap, tickets are $28.95 for adults and 22.95 for kids ages 4 to 12 and seniors age 65 and older. Tickets will go on sale soon, sign up for their newsletter here to be notified when they are available.
