In the days since Mac Miller's passing, dozens of celebrities have taken to social media to show their respects. SZA shared a poignant post about how Miller had been the "first one to believe in [her]," Childish Gambino paused during his Chicago concert to dedicate "Riot" to the rapper and say a few words, and Ariana Grande, who dated Miller for nearly two years before splitting with him in May, honored him with a simple black and white photo on Instagram.

His family has, understandably, stayed mostly quiet, but Miller's mom took a moment on Sunday (Sept. 9) to post a sweet photo of her and her son. In it, they can be seen at a baseball game as Miller grins widely and leans his head against mother. She captioned it, fittingly, with a broken heart emoji.

The tribute follows TMZ's report on Friday (Sept. 7) that Miller had died after suffering an alleged overdose in his San Fernando Valley home. The rapper's family confirmed the news in a statement, but said details about his cause of death were still unknown.

"Malcolm McCormick, known and adored by fans as Mac Miller, has tragically passed away at the age of 26," it read, per E!. "He was a bright light in this world for his family, friends and fans. Thank you for your prayers. Please respect our privacy."
