Minnesota Lands Huge WWE Event for 2026 – “Affordable Tickets” Promised
Rumors were swirling for months about WWE bringing its marquee event, WrestleMania, to Minnesota, but those dreams were crushed when it was announced that next year's event would be going to Las Vegas, but it looks like all isn't lost.
The WWE dropped huge news yesterday that U.S. Bank Stadium will host a new two day SummerSlam event on August 1st and 2nd of 2026. This will be the first time that Minneapolis will host a WWE stadium sized event, and the first premium live event Minneapolis has hosted since 2019's "TLC: Tables, Ladders and Chairs" event at the Target Center.

The WWE has partnered with Minnesota Sports and Events, an organization that helps attract, promote and execute events for the Minneapolis, St. Paul and Bloomington, and besides the ticketed event, SummerSlam will also host a variety of fan and community events in the days leading up to and after the main event.
WWE VP Chris Legentil says, "U.S. Bank Stadium is an absolutely world-class venue, situated in a city with rich wrestling history and an amazing fan base".
Wendy Blackshaw, President and CEO of Minnesota Sports and Events said, "We will make this summertime wrestling extravaganza accessible for fans of all ages. Through a variety of festivities and ancillary events in the Twin Cities and affordable tickets to the main events at U.S. Bank Stadium, this will be a SummerSlam for all".
A form has been set up to allow for fans to sign up to get exclusive pre-sale information for SummerSlam 2026 in Minneapolis.
This year's SummerSlam will happen at Cleveland Browns Stadium on Saturday, August 3rd, the location for the 2025 edition of SummerSlam has not been announced yet, which is odd.
