Minnesota Man Drives A Dog Cross Country To See Terminally Ill Owner
A woman who is terminally ill tried to bard a plane with her dog which is a pug mix but was told her dog could not fly with her due to health issues that this breed has while flying. (This breed can have breathing issues while flying in a plane.)
The womans dog named Bailey was then brought to a Veterinarian's office where Ryan Chukuske came to the rescue. He volunteers at “Spots Last Stop Canine Rescue” and offered to drive Bailey from Minnesota to Washington State to be reunited with his owner.
Chuckuske told WCCO one of his philosophies in life is be good to people, and they will be good to you. “I didn’t hesitate. I just think it was one of those things where everyone deserves good things to happen to them regardless of where you’re at in life, and especially maybe at the end of your life. So if having your dog with you is what is really important to and for you, then I am going to make that happen,” he said.
On top of all of this Chuckuske is paying for all of this out of his own pocket the gas,car rental even the flight back home. His wife started a Go Fund Me Page to help cover some of the costs. I am sure that the reunion between Bailey and his owner made all of this so worthwhile.
