Minnesota May Be Facing a Doctor Shortage In The Future

As the Baby Boomer  generation begins to age and with Affordable Care Act in place, many more people are going to the doctor or need more care because with getting older they have increased medical needs.

According to the Minnesota Hospital Association and a professional services company this may be just the start of a bigger problem over the next ten years. With many older Doctors retiring and the glut of people seeking medical attention, this will cause longer waiting for patients and possibly an increase in in Insurance premiums.

For many of us it is just a reality that we have to face, and hope that more younger people will decide to devote a big chunk of their lives to specializing in medicine. As for the doctors and future doctors they will have major job security and will actually stand to gain making even more money. So keep yourself healthy so you can stay out of the hospital or Dr.'s office!
