
Shocking: Minnesota Travelers Wait 72 Minutes To Snap
Despite airlines and airports doing their best to improve the travel experience, flying still comes with plenty of headaches. From extra fees and baggage restrictions to rude seatmates and flight delays, there's a lot that can test a traveler’s patience.
Survey Ranks States with the Most and Least Patient Travelers
A new national survey of 2,000 U.S. air travelers looked at which states have the most, and least, irritable flyers. The study asked about everything from dealing with delays to how often travelers argued with staff or fellow passengers.
Turns out, Minnesotans top the list for patience.

These States Have the Most Irritable Flyers
There aren’t many surprises on the list of the top five states with the most irritable travelers. From #5 to #1:
Illinois, California (16% admit to arguing with other passengers or staff), New York, Florida (some would spend up to $235 extra for a child-free flight), and Texas (the most irritable travelers overall).
Texans reach peak annoyance after just 40 minutes of delays, tied for the shortest patience window in the country.
Minnesota Is Among the Most Patient Travel States
On the flip side, here are the five states with the calmest travelers: New Hampshire, Nebraska, Minnesota, Kansas, and Iowa (ranked as the least irritable state overall).

According to the survey by Upgraded Points, Minnesotans are willing to tolerate a delay of up to 72 minutes before feeling irritated, the longest patience window in the nation.
