The Minnesota State Fair has announced their Grandstand Artists preforming on the main stage this year and it is quite a variety, minus any rock groups. It is always really interesting to me how sometimes you might luck out and have the opportunity to see an artist or group from years ago who is back on tour.

One of the shows definitely falls into that category with artists is TLC, Shaggy and Bone Thugs In Harmony performing at the grandstand on Sunday August 29 at 7pm. This is quite the lineup:

TLC: still holds the title of the biggest female singing group of all time with their careers peaking in the 1990's  I was lucky enough to see the trio back in the day when they first starting rising to fame. Tragically in 2002 Lisa "Left Eye" Lopez was killed in a car accident and the group was on hiatus naturally for quite some time. The remaining duo continues to make music and touring and are sure to put on an amazing show.

Shaggy: brings his dance hall reggae to the stage having sold more than 30 million albums over the span of his long career with some of his worldwide hits like "Boombastic" and "It wasn't me."

Bone Thugs -n-Harmony: Made their debut back in the 1990's and has continued with mainstream success to this day. They have often performed here in the Twin Ports and sound just as good now, as back decades ago. Grabbing a Grammy back in 1997 this group continues to show off "The Cleveland Sound" and is sure to have the crowd on it's feet.

Another big show to mark on your calendar is The Chainsmokers on Thursday September 2 at 7:30 pm.

The Chainsmokers  duo rose to fame In 2016 with such hits as "Roses", "Don't Let Me Down" and still one of my favorites to this day "Closer" featuring Halsey which went on to become the longest number one single on the billboard charts for that year. In 2019 they received a Billboard Music Award.  The sweet sounds of this duo is sure to get the crowd singing along.
