This is the best news we have heard in awhile: it looks like the Minnesota State Fair is still on track for 2021!

The big get-together was cancelled in 2020 due to the pandemic. While things have gotten a bit better this year compared to when the event was cancelled last year, some big events have still decided to pull the plug this year to wait out the rest of the pandemic. It looks like the Minnesota State Fair isn't one of them.

According to KARE 11, event organizers are planning on carrying on the event as scheduled this year. They added that they aren't sure exactly how it will work or how it will look, but as of right now they are planning the event nonetheless.

The Minnesota State Fair takes place in late August every year and things could be much different by that point of the year. However, KARE 11 reports organizers are preparing for several different scenarios. We will have to wait and see what health guidelines look for the state at that point.

As for concerts at the Minnesota State Fair, those are also on as scheduled. In what capacity concerts will happen at the event has yet to be seen but earlier this year, organizers told me they are going on as planned.

It was back in January that the Minnesota State Fair announced they had started planning. Now that we are getting closer, things are looking better. However, I still think they should bring back their drive-thru food parade after the fair so we don't have to go so long without our favorite fair foods!
