Minnesota State Patrol Has A Message For Drivers In Snow
The Minnesota State Patrol has one simple message for residents: turn your headlights on in the snow!
The Minnesota State Patrol took to their Facebook page Friday (October 11th) to share this message with us all as many areas across the state saw their first bit of snow. They even put a bit of humor into their message. Check it out below:
We really hate to bring this up being it’s only Oct. 11. But … we really have no choice. You need to turn your headlights on when it’s snowing. There. We said it. And don’t forget to slow down in inclement weather.
Ha! They have a point. I think we are all on the same page about not wanting to talk about snow but the reality is that winter is here and it's probably not going anywhere any time soon.
There you have it! In case you didn't know, you need to turn your lights on when it's snowing. Slowing down is just as important.
The Duluth Police Department shared a similar statement this week, offering several tips on winter driving to residents in the area.
