As Election Day approaches, Northland residents will have a final opportunity to hear directly from the candidates running for Congress, courtesy of WDIO-TV.  Our media partners have announced they will televise two hour-long debates.

The “Your Voice, Your Vote: Minnesota’s 8th Congressional District Debate” will air Monday, October 19 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.  The debate will feature both incumbent Republican Congressmen Pete Stauber and Democratic challenger Quinn Nystrom together and debating from the WDIO studios.  The Minnesota Congressional Debate will be rebroadcast Sunday, October 25 at noon.

The “Your Voice, Your Vote: Wisconsin’s 7th Congressional District Debate” will air Thursday, October 22 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Incumbent Republican Congressmen Tom Tiffany and Democratic challenger Tricia Zunker have confirmed their participation in this forum, which will also be broadcast from the WDIO studios. The Wisconsin Congressional Debate will be rebroadcast Sunday, November 1 at noon.

WDIO anchors Darren Danielson and Baihly Warfield will moderate the debates. If you have a question you'd like asked in either debate, you welcome to submit your questions via e-mail to debate@wdio.com.
