Something is definitely amiss here: a creepy doll has gone missing from a haunted Minnesota hotel. What gives?

For some backstory, the hotel in question is the Palmer House. It is located in Sauk Centre, just a few hours from the Twin Ports. It is notoriously haunted and is even dubbed one of the most haunted places in Minnesota.

The spot is apparently so haunted they have been featured on several different national television shows. A few years ago, they were featured on a show called Hotel Paranormal. The show goes to the most haunted hotels around the country and the Palmer House made the list.

They were also featured on an episode of Ghost Adventures. There was a whole episode centered around the Palmer House back in season six. During the episode, things got so intense that it made for a really scary episode.

I have actually been to the Palmer House two different times. The first time was a decade ago and I remember being really scared because I could small cigars in my room in the middle of the night! I went again last year and I was so scared I didn't sleep a wink.

One of those times, we wanted to go into the basement, as that is the supposed to be the spookiest spot in the whole building. We were told it was closed until further notice because of some very scary things that had happened down there. Yikes.

All of this is to say that I definitely think it is haunted which makes this story even creepier. Someone stole a doll from the Palmer House and now they are trying hard to get it back. It is a classic Slappy doll from the Goosebumps series and was a gift to the Palmer House. Not to mention, it probably is a little bit haunted, right?

A Facebook post regarding the missing doll is going viral, with well over 100 shares and counting. The post insinuates that someone stole the doll at some point. Another option is that he was put away for safe keeping until a later date.

Slappy is pretty creepy and the doll is awesome but it is sad that someone would take something from the hotel, let alone something that was a gift to the hotel. It is a popular item for guests when they do visit so having it gone is a big bummer.

If you know anything about Slappy's whereabouts, reach out to the Palmer House so we can get Slappy back where he belongs! I love all things scary but I wouldn't want this doll sitting in my own house, no matter how cool he may be. Ha!

The Palmer House is just a few hours from the Twin Ports and it is definitely worth a road trip if you are into all things spooky. The rooms are big and antique and the town is fun to poke around in! The hotel also offers tours and hosts people famous in the paranormal world from time to time.

By the way, if you're wondering why the hotel might be haunted, it has a wild history. It now stands in place of the first ever hotel in the area which burned down in 1900. A new hotel was built in place just one year later, according to the hotel's Facebook page.

You could even go one step further than just visiting a haunted hotel.  You could own a piece of haunted real estate yourself. One of Minnesota's most haunted places is for sale for just about $100,000. It is a former hospital which is a little creepy if you ask me.
