7 New Reasons To Get Excited About The Minnesota State Fair
The Minnesota State Fair is approaching quickly. With all the Grandstand acts and new food and drinks already announced, the only thing left is the annual list of new rides and experiences at the Great Minnesota Get-Together.
That list was just released, and the Minnesota State Fair will have plenty of new things to see and do during the 12-day ritual, which starts on August 21.

Warner Coliseum Getting a Big Upgrade
Not mentioned below, but getting a new look for the 2025 Minnesota State Fair is the Lee & Rose Warner Coliseum. It’s currently undergoing a multiyear $22 million renovation, the first update to the building in 75 years. Some of the changes fairgoers will notice include new accessibility ramps and wheelchair-accessible seating areas.

Some other guest enhancements happening for the 2025 fair include an expanded entrance and new walkways at Gate 2, more space at the Creative Activities Building, and a new permanent space for Friends of the Fair.
New Rides and Attractions Coming to the 2025 Minnesota State Fair
Five new rides are coming, including three thrill rides for more experienced riders. One of those is the tallest of its kind in the U.S. Two new rides will also debut in the popular Kidway area, designed for younger fairgoers.
This year’s lineup includes two new space-themed exhibits: Journey to Space and NASA Lands at the Fair. Both experiences offer fun, hands-on ways to learn about space exploration, thanks to the Science Museum of Minnesota and the California Science Center, with support from NASA.
