New ‘Star Wars’ VR Experience Open at The Mall of America

The VOID, a new virtual reality attraction at the Mall of America, is now open with an all-new 'Star Wars' experience.

Open on the north side of level 3, The VOID's has users "recover Imperial intelligence vital to the rebellion’s survival. Disguised as stormtroopers, you will be transported with your friends and family to the molten planet of Mustafar. Grab your blaster, solve puzzles, and fight giant lava monsters to fulfill your team's orders."

The experience will cost you $32.95 plus $6.32 in fees, for a total of less than $40. My bet is that there will be coupons and deals floating around for their grand opening, so keep an eye out.

You must be 10+ to battle the Empire in 'Starwars: Secrets of the Empire' and they say to plan about 30 minutes for the total experience. You can book a time in advance here.

There are also 'Ghostbusters' and 'Wreck-It Ralph' experiences that appear to be part of The VOID's offerings, no word on when and if they will open at the Mall of America. The VOID currently has locations in Anaheim, CA and Orlando, FL near both Disney theme parks, Las Vegas and Glendale, CA.
