Some of the biggest brands in the United States have kicked off the 2025 year with big changes.  Kohl's, Macy's, and Party City have announced that closures are happening at multiple locations.  Starbucks revealed that if you want to use their seat and wifi, you need to figure out how to speak their coffee language and start ordering something if you want to be there.

One company though has revealed that their latest change is because of us - the customer.  They want our experience with their brand to be "relatable, approachable, and representative" to who we are.  In other words, get ready for a new look when you check out Walmart in person and online.  Below is a sneak peek of what to expect as the new logo is rolled out.

Can You Spot The Changes in Walmart's New Logo?

The internet loves to get cranky and quite a few people are sharing their hate online about the new logo.  For some, it looks absolutely the same and they don't know why so much money and time was spent for that small of a change.

I couldn't find the exact amount that was spent on Walmart's rebrand but having spent some time in this part of the marketing world, a rebrand for a company is not cheap.  There are usually large teams who are part of this marketing process as well.  Once the financials come out for 2024, additional information on the cost might be included.

I've spent a lot of time in the marketing world.  This is actually what I went to school for and I've dug deep and helped several organizations with their rebrand process.  One thing that I've learned through the years is that some organizations and companies don't always allocate enough funds for marketing.  Some don't even have a marketing plan or a strategy yet for this new year.

Walmart has figured it out.
