The NFL is about to kick off its 100th season and they'll use one of the biggest rivalries in sports to do it, the Bears and Packers.

The Chicago Bears will host the Green Bay Packers Thursday, September 5th starting at 7:20 PM. That game will mark the 199th time the teams have played each other.

In recent years the previous year's Super Bowl champion kicks off the season and raises their championship banner, this year the Patriots will do that during the week 1 Sunday Night Football game. That will be on September 8th, with the opponent announced soon.

Both games will air on NBC and look for the full NFL schedule to be released later this spring.
