Last week, Nike had the sneaker community losing their heads after opening up their draw system for a chance to purchase the 2016 self-lacing Nike Mag. While only 89 pairs of the coveted sneaker were up for grabs through the drawing system, the Swoosh auctioned off three other Nike Mag silhouettes in the cities of London, New York and Hong Kong, with the last city paying a whopping amount for the Back 2 the Future-inspired sneaker.

With the first live auction taking place in Hong Kong earlier this week, one sneakerhead took matters into his own hands and raised the stakes like no other during this auction. Placing a bid of HK$810,000, which comes out to $104,267.00 US dollars, this sneakerhead took home the Nike Mag for a the ridiculous amount. With all of the proceeds going towards the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, this individual donated a large amount for a great cause, but is also theorized-holder of one of the most desired sneakers of all time.

Now that Nike has wrapped up their Hong Kong auction, the Swoosh gears up to head over to London and New York for the remaining two auctions. Keep it locked with XXL to find out the final bid amounts for the next two Nike Mag auctions.
