Old Farmer’s Almanac Reveals Weather Predictions For July

The Old Farmer's Almanac has revealed their predictions weather-wise for the month of July and it has a little bit of everything.

In case you didn't know, the Old Farmer's Almanac makes long-term weather predictions by region. Our region features most of Minnesota, including Duluth and the Northland, and a good portion of Northern Wisconsin.

So what are they predicting for July? Here's how they break things down:

• From the first of the month through the 7th, we will see sunshine and a hot streak.
• Beginning July 8th and continuing through the 11th, we can expect scattered thunderstorms and cooler temperatures.
• Sunshine and heat returns on July 19th and continues through the 24th.
• From the 25th of July to the 31st, expect thunderstorms followed by sunshine and cooler temperatures to round out the month.

If you're looking for heat, it looks like you'll get it! Not only will we see periods of warm temperatures as mentioned above, but July will bring about an average temperature of 70 degrees, which happens to be a few degrees above average for that time frame.

Sadly, it doesn't look like July will bring any much-needed relief when it comes to our dry conditions. Although we will see periods of rainfall, it looks like we will get about an inch less than average. (By the way, Duluth is having one of its driest years on record.)

The Old Farmer's Almanac did pretty well with their June predictions. We will have to wait and see if their predictions for July come to life, too!
