Prince Website Releases Interactive Map Of Life In Minneapolis

This interactive map of Minneapolis chronicles the early years of Prince, I think the map part of it is pretty cool but not really user friendly you have to do do an awful lot of manipulating to find what you want and some of the numbers are hidden behind each other. One gem I did figure out is that I lived right near Princes first apartment building in Uptown in Minneapolis. It took some major investigating because the picture they use is very old, but I always wondered if he lived in Uptown or just likes to hang out there. For those of you that don't know Prince wrote a song called "Uptown" early on in his career.

The virtual map has 23 different entries relating to his early years, while the “Story” section is really cool giving some detail into how Prince became the artist he was. It includes stories along with audio commentary provided by Andre Cymone, Bobby Z , Owen Husney, and some clips of Prince himself. To check out the map click here.
