School Supplies Will Cost 25 % More Than Last Year

For parents, myself included, we have some sigh of relief when school starts again. But, it is also  crazy expensive. Between all the new clothes and school supplies, If you have more then one child...look out.

According to the 2011 Huntington Bank Backpack Index the cost of school supplies will be the highest they have been in the last 6 years of the survey. Much of the cost is blamed on students having to foot the bill for more supplies, and also absorb the cost of school activities. Middle School kids will be the hardest hit... great we have 2 kids in Middle School this year! So, your best defense is shop early, look for bargains, and hope some of the supplies you get them last longer then the first week of school.
