Sir Mix-A-Lot is heading to television.

The "Baby Got Back" rapper is ready to show off his skills in home renovation via his new one-hour special, Sir Mix-A-Lot's House Remix on DIY Network. The show will take place in the rapper's native Seattle, and will showcase him buying a rundown home, renovating and then flipping it.

"I'm not just a rapper," says Sir Mix-A-Lot, who scored his biggest hit back in 1992 with the hip-hop classic, "Baby Got Back," which has been used and referenced endlessly in pop culture ever since. "These days, I'm flipping houses."

For him, it made sense to film the special in his hometown.

"Seattle is my home, and it's booming. It's a music city, a tech hub and the hottest real estate market in the country,"  Mix-A-Lot explains.

The show aims to showcase cutting-edge technology, and during the special Sir Mix-A-Lot will take an ugly broken down home and add some cool tech to it, including installing a smart panel that operates everything from the heat/air, lights and window blackout panel for energy efficiency.

Sir Mix-A-Lot's House Remix will premiere Saturday, June 30, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on DIY Network.
