It has been announced that Sound, the downtown Duluth restaurant, will be closing and re-opening in a month with a focus on hosting events.

According to the Duluth News Tribune, the restaurant formerly known as 'Sound' will re-open in approximately a month under the new name 'Sound Eatery & Events'. Dennis Kempton was quoted in the DNT as saying “A group of us are going to open a new restaurant and event space that will focus primarily on events in the city."

The space has gone through changes throughout the last couple of years. 'Tycoons' and 'The Blind Pig' were both in the space before 'Sound' took over this past January. The Facebook page for 'Sound' has already been updated to reflect the updated name.

As has been the case with the other transitions, the popular speakeasy 'Ratherskeller' will continue to operate as normal in the basement of the building.
