Superior to Celebrate International Migratory Bird Week

The City of Superior Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department will be hosting a Virtual Scavenger Search for International Migratory Bird Celebration Week.

The virtual scavenger hunt will happen at locations around Superior starting on Saturday, October 10th. Go to their official Facebook page here for each step of the search and get some great information about birds and migration.

You can participate by checking the daily steps and sharing photos of their daily finds. There will also be an opportunity to win some prizes at the end of the week.

The city will also be sharing information on birds and migration will also be shared along with activities that children can do at home. World Migratory Bird Day started in 2006 to promote the conservation of migratory birds and to counteract the negative publicity they were receiving across the world due to the Birdflu pandemic.
