British researchers polled 1,000 people on trends, fashion, and a number of other categories to see what age was perceived as "too old" for an individual to partake in different trends, activities, types of clothing, and a variety of other things. The survey seems to hone in on the age of 30 (or near it) for being too old for most things respondents were asked about, with a few exceptions.

  • High-fiving anyone - 27 years old
  • Getting a new tattoo - 31 years old
  • Wearing Crocs - 33 years old
  • Snowboarding - 36 years old
  • Using emoticons in texts and tweets - 26 years old
  • Having a body piercing - 29 years old
  • Having a goatee beard - 34 years old
  • Wearing a mini-skirt - 27 years old
  • Watching reality TV shows - 31 years old
  • Using short-form terms like LOL - 29 years old
  • Kissing on the street - 24 years old
  • Going to a music festival - 41 years old
  • Wearing very high heels - 34 years old
  • Wearing a Speedo - 26 years old
  • Skateboarding - 26 years old
  • Wearing a bikini - 48 years old
  • Wearing a baseball cap - 32 years old
  • Dancing at a nightclub - 37 years old
