The Animal Allies Pet Of The Week Is A Cool Cat Named Friskie

If you are looking for an older super sweet male cat, I found him for you. The Animal Allies Pet Of The Week is a sweet cat named Friskie. He is an orange tabby Domestic Short Hair who is about 12 years old. Friskie landed at Animal Allies after he was transferred from a different shelter and now he is looking for a new, loving home to call his own!

The staff at the shelter say he is a very friendly and talkative guy who is looking for a home where he can have a cozy lap to curl up on and receive all the pets possible. Friskie does have some medical concerns which will be discussed in detail if you are interested in him.

Due to the pandemic you are not able to just stop by the shelter. Please call the adoption team at 218-722-5341 for more information on any of the animals! The adoption staff is available by phone starting right at 10:30 to 6:00 PM Tuesday-Saturday, and 10:30 to 4:00 PM Sunday. Our adoption process is first come first serve so whoever reaches our staff first will have the opportunity to place a hold. Here is where you will find what animals are available for adoption.

COVID-19 PANDEMIC RESPONSE The Animal Allies Adoption Center is closed to the public, but we will continue to provide essential services to support animals in need, including

: • Stray Services - intake of stray dogs and cats from our contracted jurisdictions (Rice Lake, Proctor, Hermantown and Southern St. Louis County) and transfers from City of Duluth Animal Control.

• Surrender Services - intake of emergency surrenders by appointment only. All appointments must be approved by our Intake Specialist or Adoption Manager. • Animal Care - daily care and medical treatment for animals in our shelter care.

• Adoption - non-contact adoptions by appointment only. Please visit our website to see our available animals and call to learn about our non-contact adoption process or to schedule an appointment at (218) 722-5341. We start answering phones and taking adoption holds at 10:30am, if you are extremely interested in one specific animal please call early and often.
