The First Band Has Been Announced for the Minnesota State Fair, and Chances are You May Not Be Thrilled
With winter just starting to rear it's ugly head thoughts of the Minnesota State Fair and warm sunny days give me the feels, until I think about the first band booked for the Grandstand.
And the band is duh duh duh, Nickelback! I have openly voiced by dislike of this Canadian group many times on the air and I am sticking to my story. Now I admit when they first came out and had a little harder sound I found it palatable, but since then two thumbs down.
Now for anyone who loves this band I know you probably run into some grief from people, but stand strong. If by some chance you want to go, tickets go on sale this Friday at 10 am with the cheapest being $65.
With 50 million albums sold worldwide it is hard to argue their success, and people are always going to be out hating others who do well for themselves. I am not some hard core rocker who feels they are to mainstream, I just don't like their music. But, I have no doubt they will sell out the show, and I am waiting with baited breath to find out who else will be added to the roster as I dream of warm summer nights.
