Have you ever seen the not-so-clean parts of Minnesota? Let's talk trash about some of the cities in the North Star State that get a bad reputation.

You may have heard the saying "one man's trash is another man's treasure", or even the classic "no matter how much glitter you add to garbage, it does not change that it is still garbage".

Unfortunately, some people find trashy cities in every state. Even right here in the Land of 10,000 Lakes. If you live in these towns you may or may not agree, however, someone clearly does. The website Road Snacks was at it again, this time finding the trashiest cities in Minnesota.

The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines trashy as:

Indecent, being, resembling, or containing trash of inferior quality

The website used "science" and data from the government Census, FBI data, Google Maps, and more. They also used the data to find the cities with high number of high school dropouts, high drug use, high crime rates, higher than average Payday Loan Outlets, cities where residents are poorer than average, and more.

Hibbing

Starting at number 10 is Hibbing. With a population of 16,904, Road Snacks give it an 18% trashy rating.

Cambridge

Coming in at number 9, is Cambridge. Just north of the Twin Cities, you'll find a population of 8,437. According to the website, the town also ranks 9th in statewide drug use.

Virginia

North of Duluth and about a 30-minute drive from Hibbing, you'll find Virginia in the 8 spot. Don't worry, the number of merms (mullet perms) was not used in the data for Virginia, however, they do come in at 15th for statewide drug use.

Faribault

Faribault comes in at number 7, and has a population of 23,517. In this small town you'll find lots of disgruntled Vikings fans, and apparently ranks in the top five statewide of most aggravated assaults.

Just west of the Twin Cities, you'll find Willmar at number 6. This city also ranks in the top five statewide for most aggravated assaults.

Bemidji

With a population of 14,691, Bemidji comes in at number 5. The city also ranks number 5 in most drunken fistfights. So if you're out and about, keep your head on a swivel.

Brainerd

With a high number of drug-related crimes and aggravated assaults, combined with the high number of high school dropouts, Brainerd comes in at 4.

St. Cloud

Rounding out the top 3, some call it "St. Clown", others call it "home, I guess". St. Cloud has a population of 67,949 with a high rate of high school dropouts, and drug problems.

Little Falls

Allegedly known for "store fights in pajamas", the town of Little Falls comes in at number 2. The town has a population of 8,437 and ranks 5th in drug use for Minnesota.

Moorhead

Coming in hot at number 1, the city of Moorhead. A population of just over 42,000 and ranks in the top 10% of all the data used to find the "most trashiest cities" in Minnesota.
