The Top Ten Fan Bases In The NFL

The 2020 NFL Season kicks off tonight and with the cooler temperatures we are having right now and the changing colors of the leaves it sure seems like football season. Emory professor Michael Lewis has once again put together a ranking of the top 10 fan bases in the NFL. This list was published in June 2019 in USA Today in which Lewis wrote that "he used “data on attendance, revenues, social media following and road attendance to develop statistical models of fan interest. He also added that he used those models to determine which fan bases are more willing to spend or follow their teams after controlling for factors like market size and short-term changes in winning and losing.”

Of course not everyone will agree with this list and each team has it's "die hard fans" that stick by there team year after year win or lose. But we all need to remember it is just a game, and for fans thankfully we even have a season to watch this year even though for some teams they can't cheer them on in person. * SPOILER ALERT* The Minnesota Vikings Fans were ranked #24 out of the 32 teams.
