Two-time U.S. Olympian and Duluthian Kara Goucher will be returning home to launch her new book "Strong: A Runners Guide To Boosting Confidence And Becoming The Best Version of You."

Goucher will be in the August Fitger Room at the Fitger's Complex this Wednesday (August 1st) from 6 p.m. - 7 p.m. She will also be talking about lessons she has learned during her time running, and will be available to sign books as well.

Goucher graduated from East High school in 1996 where she won multiple state titles, then went to win a couple NCAA titles at her time in Colorado. She got 1st at the USA Half Marathon Championship in Duluth (2012) and came in 2nd at the 10,000 meter World Championships in Osaka, Japan (2007). She also competed in the 2008 (Beijing) and 2012 (London) Olympic Games.

I love it when stars return to their hometown and I think it is awesome that she is launching her new book right here in the Twin Ports. The book will officially be released on August 14th and you can pre-order it here. Copies will also be available during book signing event at Fitger's.
