The UMD Athletic Department has released the schedule for the 2020-2021 season. According to a release shared on Facebook, the athletic department is optimistic for competitions to take place this fall "despite the current challenges with COVID-19."

They have released the football, Volleyball, Soccer, Men's Hockey, and Women's Hockey home schedule for the coming season. The bulldogs first home football game is scheduled for September 12th at James S. Malosky Stadium against Minnesota State University. The first home men's Bulldog Hockey game will take place on October 3rd against the University of Guelph. Volleyball will begin on September 4th at the Michigan Tech Tournament. The first home soccer game with be at James S. Malosky Stadium on September 18th vs Minot State University. In Bulldogs Women's Hockey, the first home game is scheduled for September 26th at Amsoil against the Minnesota Whitecaps.

UMD also mentions in the press release that if for any reason a portion of the 2020-2021 season doesn't take place, ticket holders will get refunds or the option to put that money toward a future event. That is a part of their Bulldog Ticket Assurance Plan. This would apply to only direct ticket purchases through the UMD Athletic's ticket office. They will be sending further information to season ticket holders this week.

UMD Athletic Director Josh Berlo also had the following to say,

"These are unprecedented times, and we understand that there is still a great deal of uncertainty going forward, but we are also excited to look ahead to getting back to competition in the future, whenever that may be,"
