University Of Minnesota Makes List In Top 25 Most LGBT Friendly Schools, With University Of Minnesota Duluth Not Far Behind

The University of MN-Twin Cities campus has been recognized in a new study by the Campus Pride Index as being in the Top 25 schools in the U.S. that is a GLBT friendly school.

Of the 343 schools that were recognized as GLBT friendly over 40 of them ranked with 5 out of 5 stars including U of M. UMD ranked very high as well in the state of MN with 4.5 stars.

Some of the criteria for this study included campus safety, and student life. We all here of bullying affecting kids and adults in all types of situations , and thankfully some of these campuses realize how vulnerable some of these students can be especially being away from home, and family and friends.

The survey shows that many schools are still far behind in embracing  tolerance, but progress is being made around the country.
