Duluth East wins in overtime to claim the Section 7AA Championship after tying the game up late in the 3rd period.

First Period Summary:

No goals in the first period, with Duluth East controlling most of the tempo and outshooting Andover 13-3. The biggest moment of the 1st period came when Andover junior forward Charlie Schoen appeared to score on a breakaway but it was waved off. After a review, it was confirmed that the puck never went in, only hitting the crossbar and pipe.

Second Period Summary:

Luke Kron got the game's first goal just over a minute into the second period with a deflection goal, with assits to Eric Chartier and Gunner Thoreson. Andover would score again 8 minutes and 45 seconds into the second period as Charlie Schoen would score a nice backhand goal on a breakaway. Schoen used the same move in the first period hit the crossbar and pipe.

Third Period Summary:

Duluth East got on the board 5 minutes into the 3rd period on a goal by Brenden Baker with an assist to Luke LaMaster. Then things got dramatic. With just over a minute left to play in the game and down 2-1, East pulled their goalie for the extra man. Ryder Donovan threw the puck on net from behind the goal line and it somehow went in. Tie game.

Overtime Summary:

4:50 into overtime, Logan Anderson scores the game winner to send the Hounds to state.
