Vista Fleet Announces New, Wallet-Friendly Ways For Locals To Get On The Lake

As someone who lives in the Twin Ports area, you're probably just as guilty as I am of this.

We have a lot of neat things people travel long distances to see and do right here in Duluth and the surrounding area, and locals often don't enjoy those cool and unique aspects of our area.

While some locals simply dismiss some of those things as just "tourist activities," I feel like most locals just forget they're even options we can enjoy too. While they're often busy on weekends, we have the luxury of being able to enjoy them anytime we want!

Duluth's Vista Fleet is launching some new things to give locals some extra reasons to check out their offerings this summer, and do so while being easy on the wallet, too.

Local-only deals setting sail this summer

There is a pair of money-saving promotions the Vista Fleet just announced that are just for locals who call Duluth, Superior, and the surrounding area home.

The first of these two deals is something called $10 Tuesdays, which is a popular promotion they are bringing back. The deal provides a live-narrated sightseeing cruise for only $10 per person every Tuesday now through Labor Day.

While this particular deal can be used by anyone (local or not) by just booking their tickets online, Tuesdays tend to be days when there aren't tons of tourists in town, so it is a great way for locals to plan an outing on the water. There aren't any promo codes or anything you need; just book online for any Tuesday this summer and get the deal.

The second deal is just for locals. Every day other than Tuesday, locals can get half-off tickets for general admission sightseeing tours for residents of the Twin Ports area. While this deal isn't quite as good as the $10 Tuesday deal, you can get on the water any other day of the week for less than $20 per person for their normal sightseeing tours during the season.

These tickets need to be purchased in person from their Zenith Adventure office in Canal Park, at 323 Harbor Drive.

Other fun on the water this summer

Besides the deals mentioned above, the Vista Fleet has a series of special themed cruises they are offering this season. Some are new, some are popular options that are returning.

They include a 4th of July Fireworks Cruise and Tall Ships Festival Tours during the Festival of Sail, as well as some recurring special cruises like these:

Du-Lunch Waterfront Tour, which is a brand-new sightseeing cruise that includes lunch with your ticket. The cruise is a little over an hour long, and is offered Thursdays through Sundays every week.

Lake Superior Live, which is what they call a "casual dinner cruise" that also features live local musicians. It is a two-hour-long cruise held on Wednesday and Thursday evenings.

Family Fun Cruises, which are kid-friendly cruises that last a little more than an hour. They include entertainers like balloon artist Lauralloons and one-man band ZOZATRAS. They are offered Thursdays through Sundays during the season.

These are in addition to their other specialty cruises, like their sunset dinner cruise, "Ships, Sips, and Sunset" cruises, and some special fall cruises.
