Warning: Latest IRS Phone Scam Appearing as a Threatening Text Message

A civilian named Megan alerted the Duluth Police Department about a bogus text message she received, claiming to be the IRS. These will most likely increase with tax season on the horizon, so be on alert.

It should go with out saying that you should never respond to these types of text messages or phone calls, but some people need a reminder.
