Watch The First 7 Minutes of 'Star Wars: Rebels' [VIDEO]

Since 1977 Star Wars has been a huge franchise. I've always been a fan. The three originals were great. Then there were the three new ones which many didn't like. I have a sneaky suspicion it's more due to one universally hated character (Jar Jar). Then there was the animated Clone Wars series that gave more depth to the universe. With Episode VII in filming currently, I'm just happy that there are still more stories to be told within the universe.

Star Wars: Rebels is the latest installment of another animated series. It takes place after the fall of the Jedi (Episode III: Revenge of the Sith), but before Star Wars (1977) and follows one groups fight against the Empire, and the beginning of the rebellion.

Disney just released the first 7 minutes for us to watch.

Star Wars: Rebels will begin airing in October 2014.
