Water Main Project Will Close Kenwood Avenue

The city of Duluth will be conducting a water main project that will close Kenwood Avenue starting tomorrow morning. 

The project will begin at 7am on Kenwood Avenue at the intersection of Cleveland Street. The closure is anticipated to last one day unless the weather has other plans. The closure will allow for the connection of the new water main on Cleveland Street to the existing water main under Kenwood Avennue and will not impact water service to individuals or businesses.

There will be a detour route for Kenwood Avenue, directing traffic to the College Street detour. The city encourages the public to access the Kenwood Shopping Center and businesses in the area from either Arrowhead Road or the shopping center alley behind Subway. There will be additional work in the next few weeks that will require temporary partial closures of the Arrowhead and Kenwood intersection.
