What’s The Story Behind This Lincoln Park Grave Marker?

There's a tombstone off the street on Lincoln Parkway and W. 6th St. that says someone died in 1937, but after several Google searches nothing comes up. Do you know the story?

My buddy Jared grew up near this tombstone and we've always wondered if there is a story behind it. You can make out "1911 - 1937 died here" but can't make out the words above it.
