Another popular Duluth attraction will reopen this week.

The DECC, which owns and operates the William A. Irvin, announced that beginning Friday, July 10th, the ship will once again offer its popular onboard tours.

This will be the first time that the ship will offer tours since 2017, first, it was the restoration of the ship during the 2018/2019 season that kept the ship closed, the ship returned from Fraser Shipyards late last year ready to begin tours this spring, but then, of course, the pandemic delayed the reopening even more.

Tours will be every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 10 AM - 5 PM through September, after that the Haunted Ship was usually started around that time, but it was announced today that they have also canceled that for this year due to COVID-19.

The gift shop will also be opened at the Irvin when the tours begin again.

While it was away, the Irvin got a paint job and some work done to its hull, and the dock around the Irvin was rebuilt.
