Wisconsin Firefighters Rescue Cow Stuck In A Swimming Pool

The reason I find this picture below so entertaining is that is reminds me so much of my favorite cartoon  "The Far Side." So many times he would use cows as part of the One box cartoons and they would be hilarious. For those of you not familiar with it the artist would tell the whole story in 1 box versus 4 or 5 like other cartoons and it was genius!

Back to this story The Ettrick Fire Department was called about a cow that needed to be rescued out of a pool. Apparently one or more of the fire fighters is a real cow whisperer because they got the cow out of the pool by guiding it up the steps and out. The cow is ok and was returned to it's owner. Ettrick is a village of around 500 people located in Trempealeau County Wisconsin.
