The Wisconsin DNR wants to remind you that the Spring Turkey Hunt is still on, despite COVID-19. Outdoor recreation was deemed an essential activity according to Governor Tony Evers, but there are still protective measures you should take.

While turkey hunting is done outdoors and in remote locations, you should still practice social distancing if you come across other hunters or people outdoors. You should only be hunting with members of your household, to prevent potential spread of the virus.

The turkey season in Wisconsin is already set up by design to limit hunter to hunter interaction with different zones and dates in the season. So there will be no change to permits already issued. The turkey hunt seasons are determined by a lottery that hunters enter in during the fall. There may still be additional permits available on their website.
