Wisconsin State Patrol Pulls Over Pickup Truck + Makes A Hilarious Discovery

The Wisconsin State Patrol recently stopped a pickup truck for an equipment violation then, as they approached the vehicle, they saw a scene right out of the movie "Planes, Trains & Automobiles".

The shared a photo of their unique discovery Wednesday morning on their official Facebook page:

Yes, you're seeing that right, the driver is sitting on a chair you'd normally find sitting around a campfire.  The Wisconsin State Patrol say this incident happened in the North Central Region.

Now, I'm no law expert, but I do believe this would be in violation of Wisconsin law on restraining devices and seats. If fact, I just glanced at the 5 points of this section of Wisconsin law and I'll share just a couple of the multiple violations likely encountered here:

1. All automobiles manufactured on or after January 1, 1972, shall have safety belts installed at all designated seating positions which meet the specifications of the safety belt system with which the vehicle was originally manufactured. All light trucks and motor homes manufactured after January 1, 1976, shall have safety belts installed at all designated seating positions which meet the specifications of the safety belt system with which the vehicle was originally manufactured. All homemade and reconstructed motor vehicles registered on or after January 1, 1975, shall have safety belts installed at all designated seating positions.
2. The seat and seat mechanisms of every motor vehicle shall be in proper working condition. All seats shall be securely fastened to the motor vehicle.

I can only imagine Wisconsin State Patrol trying to keep a straight face while they talked to this creative driver, who is lucky they never got into an accident while in this seating arrangement.  Makes me want to revisit that similar scene from a favorite movie.
