Woman Has Gone Missing While Attending Music Festival in Ashland
According to WDIO the Ashland County Sheriffs Department is asking for the public's help in finding 54-year-old Jody Lynn Newberry of Bergland, Mich. A woman called authorities on Tuesday May 29th to report her sister missing.
Newberry had left for the Mellen Jam Music Festival last Thursday and apparently became separated from her male companion around noon on Saturday and has not been heard from since.
Newberry is described at 5'3" tall and weighs 115 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes, and usually wears wire-rimmed glasses, she is also missing several teeth. The festival is held on private property and Ashland County Sheriff's Deputies and the Sawyer County Search and Rescue K9 unit conducted a search as well of the property and a forested area on Tuesday but did not find the missing woman.
The Ashland County Sheriff's office would like to hear from anyone who had contact with Newberry at the music festival or has heard from her at all, to call them immediately at 715-682-7023, option 1.
