World’s Largest Viking Ship Might Not Come To Duluth After All
The worlds largest Viking ship was supposed to be making its way through the Great Lakes this summer with a stop in Duluth, but now it might have to turn around.
The Draken Harald Hårfagre picked Duluth and six other cities to make a stop in. The mighty Viking Ship was hoping to be here in August in time for the Tall Ships event. According to the Star Tribune, the ships crew found out they need to come up with more than $400,000 to pay for a pilot to guide it through the Great Lakes otherwise they have to turn the ship around,
A petition on Change.org has already been started by outraged supporters and is currently sitting at a little over 6,000 signatures. The petition is calling for fees and pilot requirement to be waived.
