According to The Duluth News Tribune Anthony Mitchell, manager of Yellow Cab, said all business will cease operations after this Sunday. Yellow Cab Duluth has been in business since the early 1920's.

With rideshares such as Uber and Lyft coming to town that cut into the business of all  the cab companies and even the possibilities of electric scooters in the area spread this cab company just too thin. In 2015 alone before the 2 rideshare companies were even in existence in the area, Duluth had 150 cabs which is a higher ratio of cabs to people than New York City.

Yellow Cab has five full-time employees and leases its cabs to drivers, they have a total of five cabs on the road. Maybe it is the bright colors of these cabs but it always seemed to me that they had a bigger fleet than 5 cabs? I guess it is just because I see them everywhere, but not for long.
