4th of July Events and Fireworks in Duluth / Superior [UPDATED 2013]

Party in the Park with "Hairball"
Spend an explosive night before the Fourth with the 80's Rock-N-Roll Experience Extravaganza called 'Hairball'. They will bring their elaborate stage show to Bayfront Festival Park for the third year in a row on July 3rd, music starts at 5pm. Hairballs stunning recreations include KISS, Guns n Roses, Whitesnake, Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, Motley Crue, Ozzy, AC/DC, Poison and more! What a great way to kick off the Fourth of July holiday.
The Mighty Thomas Carnival
Every year at the Fourth of July the Mighty Thomas Carnival stops in Duluth tons of rides, carnival foods and games will feed and entertain the whole family. The carnival will be open June 26 - July 6 in the DECC parking lot, so make plans to stop by and have some fun and some mini doughnuts!
A Superior Fourth of July
Have a superior Independence Day this year in, Superior. The theme this year is "4th of July, Baseball And Apple Pie", events include a parade and according to organizers "due to construction on Tower Avenue, we will be staging on Catlin Ave by the High School. The parade again will start at 11am. The parade will start at 28th and Hill Ave, west on 28th to Hammond, South on Hammond to the Middle School." The day will also include a car show and finally the fireworks will start at about 10:15 at the Fairgrounds.

Launched over the harbor, the Duluth fireworks show has many great vantage points, enjoy the show in Canal Park, Hillside, Garfield Ave. or jump on a boat and enjoy the show from the harbor. The show fires off promptly at 10:10 so be ready for it!
